This 270-page, hard-cover book is designed to provide stories and patterns for flannelboard figures for use in storytelling situations which promote the development of vocabulary, listening skills, and skills in sequencing events in a story. The book provides a collection of over 40 stories, including traditional folk tales and modern stories, which seem appropriate for students in preschool through grade 1. Patterns for figures approximately 6" to 12" are included with each story. A second book containing additional stories and figure patterns is also available from the publisher. RMF, 12-76
